Had my car towed to Shore's with transmission issues. Needed a replacement. Dealt with Rick. Rick gave me an estimate which sounded high, but transmissions are expensive. I was now stuck in that bad position of do I spend thousands of dollars to install a new transmission or walk away and buy another car? Rick then read off a list of things also wrong with the car. They were not asked to inspect the vehicle. But he already had. Frankly, I did not know what some of the things he listed were or if they were major or not. He explained them and listed the prices to fix them making giving me the information to make my decision. A decision that he understood would mean his shop would not do that service. He was then kind enough to allow me to keep my vehicle in his parking lot for 5 days while I sold it and looked for another car. Had them inspect the vehicle and that went well. As it happens a couple weeks later a co worker blew their engine and needed an engine swap. Sent them to Shore's. He spoke with Rick and had a similar experience. Spoke with my friend at length and gave them geeat and honest advice that was both extremely helpful and cost them that particular sale. I am ecstatic to have found an auto mechanic who is more concerned with the customer making the right choice than just making a big sale. Obviously they are re both of our new regular mechanics. I should point out that their interior is clean and comfortable if you need to sit and wait.
